Today, we will introduce two stainless steel parts that are manufactured through a combination of turning and milling. These parts are crucial components used in aviation aircraft, known as “stopcock cores.” Both parts share similar shapes and serve identical functions within a valve system. As movable parts, they play a key role in controlling the flow of liquids.
Each stopcock core has four circular recesses and one through hole on its circular periphery. The circular recesses are designed for the installation of O-shaped rings, ensuring proper sealing when the valve is closed. The through hole acts as a channel through which liquid can flow when the stopcock core is rotated 90° clockwise around its axis. Conversely, when the stopcock core is rotated 90° anticlockwise around its axis, the valve enters a sealed state, preventing the flow of liquid.
